How to organise your loose ribbons & fabrics

Ever finding keeping those loose ribbons and fabrics a big hassel? Tangles and untidy.
Here is a $0 budget, simple & quick way to organise your loose ribbons anf fabrics without any struggle.
We need:
1. A pair of scissors
2. A hard unwanted cardboard.

Step 1: Cut out a rectangle from the cardboard, about twice the size of your ribbon.

This is how it looks.
Note: The length of the rectangle need not be to long or short.

Step 2: trim 2 sides of the cardboard as shown. the width of the inner part should be the width of yur ribbon.

This is how it looks.

Step 3: place theat the centre of the cardboard as shown.

Step 4: Turn the ribbon to the other side of the cardboard.

Step 5: Roll the ribbon around the cardboard.

Step 6: Keep rolling the ribbon around until the end of the ribbon.

Step 7: Tuck in the end of the ribbon into the previously rolled ribbon.

Now, You're Done!

This technique is especially good to make your ribbons neat and easy for storage.

ENJOY. HAVE FUN!

My First Hime Gyaru accessory

Recently, I fall in love with Hime Gyaru stlye and I learnt several Hime Gyaru DIY ideas from internet.

I sourced for materials and hand made my first Hime Gyaru accessory-hand phone strap.

Hime Gyar
From Virtual Japan

Hime Gyaru is a fashion style largely depicted as a cross between Gyaru and Lolita. Combining bright colored clothing, dyed dark hair, long eyelashes, and a series of brightly colored accessories, this fashion attempts to bring out the concept of the “princess” in those who dress in it.

Most famous and started in the Harajuku shopping district of Tokyo, Hime Gyaru is best described by the goals of its prescribers, with baggy hair at the top, curls at the base, dyed blonde or brown, ribbons adorning both hair and dresses, velvet clothing from the top boutiques in Tokyo, and embroidery with lace and pearl. Accessories and jewelry along with cell phones, cameras, handbags, and anything else that might be carried is also bought from the top stores and adorned with the most expensive details.

A Gift for Eve & Mike ~ The Reveal of the Love Contract

Now it's time to reveal the Mystery Love Contract that even the bride couldn't see it until it's time for her BIG DAY!

This is a project done for Eve & Mike for thier wedding on 2 August 09.
This project took me one month to design it.

I couldn't find a nice box that fit the contract, so I decided to DIY! I 'kapok' the A4 paper carton box from office and fix it into a box that can fit the contract. It's actually an easy task but carrying the box back is a hassel, I have to dismental it without destroying the box surface and carry bulky cardboard back home and re-fix them.

PS: A small secret. The skeleton of the Contract and the stand were also DIY from the A4 paper carton box. See how useful the carton box is.

The wedding couple posing with the Love Contract. Hope they like the Gift.

A Gift for Eve & Mike ~ Love Contract Part 1

I haven't been doing art for a long time. Now, I was assigned to do a Love Contract for Eve & Mike's wedding on 2 Aug 09.

I' ve done the project and left some final touch-up and I can only reveal after the couple receives it. By then, I'll upload the pictures of the final piece.

These two pictures were drawn by me, one painted the other with colour pencils. These two pictures will be on part of the Love Contract.

Christmas Gift 2008

lt's been ages since I pick up my drawing pencil. After wrapping up all my Christmas presents, It seems to be like something was missing. A Christmas Card!

Each Christmas, I will draw nice pictures in a simple Christmas Card for my friends, the motive is to let my friends keep the Card and won't throw them away after Christmas. Just like others, Christmas card is meaningful but it also needs some storage space if you keep alot, I will keep the cards that my friends gave but it alsi gave me headache for keeping them. I'm thinking of a way to make my Christmas Card more useful.

I finally came to an idea to make them into bookmarks. My inspiration came from one of a gift with a tag on it. So, it's nice to see and easy to keep. This idea came only last minute, so I started to draw and colour them quickly before Christmas arrived.

Although they just need me to spend a few hours to draw and colour them. But I do really hope that my friends will like it and treasure it, because I personalised each bookmark.
